Information About Logging In and Accounts

NEW ACCOUNTS  

To set the password on your account, I recommend you use the Internet browsers Firefox or Chrome. If you have any trouble at all, make sure you’re using Firefox or Chrome before proceeding.

SETTING A PASSWORD
This is a two-step process.
1. On knitfreedom.com/lostpassword, enter the email address we sent your account notification to.
2. You’ll receive an email in your inbox. Click the link in the email to set your password. Please make sure you are using Firefox or Chrome to do this if you have any trouble.

That’s it! Read on if you have questions about or problems logging into your account. Otherwise, enjoy the new Members’ area!

———QUESTIONS ABOUT OR PROBLEMS LOGGING INTO ACCOUNT———–
The process hasn’t quite been pain-free for everybody, so I’ve included some extra details you should know as you log into your account for the first time.

1. DIDN’T GET AN EMAIL ABOUT MY ACCOUNT
Thank you! If you haven’t purchased anything, you won’t have an account. If you did purchase but didn’t get an email, it may mean that I missed you, but we still have your records. Just email happiness@knitfreedom.com and let me know your PayPal email address. I’ll look up all your purchases and create an account for you.

2. ERROR SETTING PASSWORD
If you get an error message while setting your password, please make sure you are using the Internet browsers Firefox or Chrome. If you have a PC laptop or home computer, you may be using Internet Explorer to get online. Users have had problems setting their password using Internet Explorer.

If you download Firefox or Chrome in order to avoid/work around this issue, please make sure you set it as your default Internet browser when you download it OR just make sure to open that second email (step 2 above) link IN CHROME so that the process is error-free.

3. MISSING CLASSES
If, when you log in and go to the Members’ Area (knitfreedom.com/members), you don’t see all the classes you bought, please just send an email to happiness@knitfreedom.com and I will look up your purchases and add anything that is missing. This may take 5-7 days. Thank you!

4. I DON’T SEE MY KNITTING SUPERSTAR CLASS ALTHOUGH I SEE ITS CHAPTERS
As far as the Knitting Superstar class goes, you still have it, it’s just that I reorganized it slightly. It always was a collection of chapters (Chapters 5-9 on your Members page), and it is the same content now, only it doesn’t have “Knitting Superstar” at the top. The “Knit Faster” videos are included in the “Optimize Your Knitting” chapter, along with some other new videos. :)

The Top 10 Lists and some of the other small chapters of Knitting Superstar got incorporated into the other chapters, but you have all of them. I tried to lay the videos out in a way that would make sense for someone using the course as a library of videos, not only a step-by-step class.

5. DIDN’T GET AN ANSWER ON FACEBOOK YET
I’m sorry! Candy, our Customer Happiness Guru, is on a bucket-list vacation to Japan, and I’m working by myself on getting all our members set up. Don’t worry, I won’t forget you! 

6. PURCHASED YEARS AGO, HAVEN’T HEARD FROM YOU IN A LONG TIME
I still have your records! Your KnitFreedom classes are yours for life and now that you are set up in our system you can see your classes any time. Also I plan on being more in touch via email once all our members are set up in the system. Thanks!

7. WHERE DO I SEE MY ACCOUNT/RECORDS OF WHAT I BOUGHT?
Go to knitfreedom.com/membership-account.

8. WHERE DO I GO TO SEE MY CLASSES/WATCH THE VIDEOS I OWN?
Go to knitfreedom.com/members.
